Hydra

Album cover I worked on for local central valley California metal band. They wanted a theme that fit with Greek mythology. Since the 3 original gods of Olympus are Zeus, Poseidon and Hades I decided to make the Hydra a 3 headed beast akin to Cerberus. I put the head of Zeus to represent defiled wisdom, the hand of Poseidon to represent the touch of life (water is life and all that) and the heart of Hades since the human heart is basically a one way ticket to hell if not tempered right. Anyway yeah, I put a lot of thought into this and I think it turned out great.
